Belleair's homes look west across Clearwater Harbor toward the barrier islands, and plenty of families here grew up watching the sun drop behind them. A private sunset cruise from Gulfport gives you that same view from the water, with Captain Allen at the helm and your group as the only guests aboard. The drive south to our Gulfport launch takes around 40 minutes, and trips run every day from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Captain Allen's tips
Getting from Belleair to the boat is the main planning step. Most guests take Seminole Boulevard down through Largo and Seminole, then cross into Saint Petersburg toward Gulfport, roughly 40 minutes without heavy traffic. The ramp in Gulfport has free parking, and the Gulfport boat launch has restrooms at the dock, since the boat has none. Show up 15 minutes early to apply sunscreen and use the bathroom.
Sunset trips need the most timing care. The Sunset Intracoastal Cruise leaves about an hour before sunset and the Sunset Bridge Tour starts roughly 30 minutes before, so leave Belleair with a cushion on weekday evenings. Thunderstorms often pop up fast on summer afternoons, which makes morning departures the safer bet in July and August.
Captain Allen judges bad weather on the day itself and helps you rebook or get a refund when conditions are unsafe. Online reservations require 18 hours of lead time, and current boat tour prices and booking cover the whole group rather than each person.
The Sunset Intracoastal Cruise is $225 with fuel included, passing waterfront homes and finishing at Pass-A-Grille for sunset.
The Sunset Bridge Tour is $275 and adds Bunces Pass plus the illuminated Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Both last about 1.5 to 2 hours.
